Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a form of psychological acupuncture. Instead of needles being inserted, fingers are used to tap on acupuncture meridians while voicing positive affirmations. The combination of the two works to clear emotional blocks and restore balance.
Based on principles that have been around for about 4,000 years EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s and it has rapidly gained momentum as a complementary therapy. It is an effective therapy for dealing with numerous issues, some examples are:
- Removing negative emotions
- Reducing cravings
- Reducing or eliminating pain
- Implementing positive goals
